student profile Jan Le Blowitz
Hi Jan! Can you tell me a little bit about yourself and your business?
I have a passion for food, photography, creativity and to inspire others.
I believe that creativity has been one of my biggest supports through some very tough times and hope to inspire others to find their creative niche that helps them to build on their resilience. This is how my food photography business “The Resilient Creative” was born.
What makes your style unique and enables you to stand out from other food creatives?
I try to incorporate story telling in my work where possible and I am drawn to a moody vibe. My style is to find the magic, the message, the authenticity of the subject and to bring it “out of the shadows and in to the light”.
Why did you decide to join the food.styling.academy?
When I saw the opportunity to fine tune my food styling skills I simply jumped at the chance especially because Kirsten came across very authentic and spoke of styling food that you can still eat afterwards which really resonated with me and the way that I work.
What are 3 areas you’ve seen the biggest improvements in since starting your food.styling.academy journey?
I have seen substantial improvements in food styling with the natural placing of ingredients and the way they flow across the plate but also improvements in my confidence as a food photographer and in attracting clients to my business.
Finally, what are your business and creative goals for the future?
My business and creative goals for the future are to grow my audience attracting a wider range of clients who align with my style and always to inspire others with my work.
Jan, thanks so much for taking the time to chat and for sharing visual examples of how your confidence has grown since being part of the community…
